Are used tires safe to drive on?
Yes - when they're properly inspected. Every used tire we sell at Mike's Tires Plano is checked for tread depth, even wear, and sidewall damage, and we never sell tires with unsafe repairs. You see the tire before it goes on your car.
How much tread should a used tire have?
Texas law requires at least 2/32" of tread, but we stock used tires with significantly more life left than the legal minimum. Ask us to show you the tread measurement - we do it in front of you.
How long will a used tire last?
It depends on remaining tread, your driving habits, and keeping proper inflation. As a rule of thumb, a quality used tire with healthy tread can serve well for years of normal Plano commuting - and it costs a fraction of a new tire.
Can I mix a used tire with my existing tires?
